Best Sonic Toothbrush/Whiter Teeth
** New Colour Edition Every Year**
Philips Sonicare have been dominating the sonic toothbrush market for a decade and with good reason. They never rest and are constantly looking at how they can improve their brand. They have the best battery life on the market at just less than three weeks.
The Diamondclean combines their latest toothbrush head design with their best handle. Combined they give you lots of cleaning options and a brush that can improve the brightness of your teeth and gums in just two weeks.
If you are looking for a premium sonic toothbrush, then we can’t recommend this one highly enough. Its now available in black, pink, Amethyst and Rose Gold as well as the original white colour. The prices for the different colours do fluctuate throughout the year, so if you are after a specific colour you might have to pay a bit extra. However, the white edition seems to stay at roughly the same price of around £100.

Oral B 9000
If you love gadgets laden with lots of customisable options then this is the perfect model for you. It comes with a range of different toothbrush heads that do different jobs. For example tooth polisher or sensitive for a more gentle clean. These heads match different modes on the toothbrush. It is available in white or black.
It is also bluetooth compatible so you can connect it to your mobile phone or iPad. You can track your brushing technique through the app. For extra accuracy you attach your mobile device to a wall and record yourself brushing. This ensures that you don’t miss any areas.
How many times have you moaned about having to use a shaving point to charge your brush? That is now a thing of the past. It also has an extended battery life and (finally!) a sensible charging unit that allows you to charge both your toothbrush and phone at the same time.
So if you are a person that is going to take advantage of all of the options that the Oral B 9000 has to offer then this is the ideal option for you. If you like the sound of the toothbrush but not the bluetooth and app stuff then you can go for more basic options. Check out the Oral B page for more information.
This is also the only one of two non ultrasonic toothbrushes on our list. Some people don’t like sonic toothbrushes because they feel like they are not doing anything or they don’t get over the tickling type sensation. If you like movement in your toothbrush and a more mechanical action then this model is the perfect option for you.
Best Alternative to the Other Brands
Colgate ProClinical A1500
Colgate are well known for their toothpaste but they recently teamed up with Omron to create a range of three sonic toothbrushes. Of those three, the one that impressed us the most is the Colgate Proclinical A1500.
The principle behind these models is that the different parts of your teeth are unique and should be brushed differently.
The A1500 uses the technology used to change your smart device from portrait to landscape to know which part of your teeth you are brushing and change the speed/pulsations accordingly.
It’s hard to explain in words but watch the video below which explains it a lot better than we can.
A1500 price guide
It can take a little while to get used to but if you are prepared to stick with it, then this toothbrush does a fantastic job on your teeth. It is now available for under £50. If you are looking for something different to the Sonicare range , then we recommend this to you. More information here.
We created this easy to follow chart to allow you to quickly compare features and prices between different toothbrushes and different online store prices as well! Prices are updated every few hours.
Leading up to Christmas last year there were some real bargains. Fear not though, as we update this page you can still get some of these brushes for a great price. Boots are continuing to offer some great prices that compete with amazon. Combine that with club points and you can grab yourself a great offer for dirt cheap. Best Mid-Priced Option [£50 & Under]
This may only have some basic features but this really is an impressive tooth cleaning device. This is one of Sonicares most popular choices with consumers and after trying it out for three weeks I can see why. I don’t recommend you doing this but I once went a day without cleaning my teeth after using this brush and my teeth still felt plaque free.

Best Water Flosser
When it comes to dental hygiene simply brushing your teeth is not enough. Ask any dentist and they will tell you the same thing. You need to floss! Most people hate to floss. It is fiddly, it can be painful and if you have not done it for a long time can cause your gums to bleed.
Fortunately there are alternatives to traditional dental floss and that is electric flossing. There were two close contenders for the award this year. A close runner up was the Philips Sonicare Airfloss which is great for people who hate flossing or struggle for various reasons. It is simple to use.
However, the winner of the best water flosser 2016 goes to the Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser. It does a more thorough job than the airfloss and traditional flossing. Users rave about the product and it has been the best selling flossing device on Amazon USA for years.
Both models are roughly the same price at the moment so worth checking out.
